A
TCXO (temperature compensated
crystal oscillator) is a crystal oscillator with a temperature
compensated network that consists of at least two thermistors
and a temperature variable resistors. The temperature coefficient
and values of thermistors are used to provide a control voltage
that compensates the change in TCXO frequency over temperature.
Temperature compensation can be achieved with or without use
of a varactor, however this technique is harder to accomplish
because exact resistors values are needed to compensate for
the frequency change over temperature. Digital TCXO can also
